The Metropolis church of Christ is a local congregation of the Lord's body, worldwide (Col. 1:18).
Our congregation is warm, welcoming, and growing! We seek to be the New Testament church that's found in the pages of the New Testament (Acts 2:47; Acts 20:28), and we wear the scriptural name found in the Book (Rom. 16:16). The Metropolis church of Christ takes advantage of opportunities to reach out to our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and with the love and salvation that Christ offers to the world!

The churches of Christ are truly different. Consider a few simple Bible facts...the church we belong to began in the year 33 A.D. (Acts 2:36-47). We are Christians only, and only Christians (Acts 11:26). We are not a denomination (Matt. 16:18). We have no earthly council, association, board of directors, or religous corporation that governs us; Christ is our only Head (Col.1:18), He is the Head of only one body (Eph. 4:4), and the Bible is our only guide (Rom. 4:3). We reject denominationalism, just as the church did in the first century (1 Cor. 1:10-13). Everything we believe and practice comes straight from the pages of the New Testament (Jo. 4:24; Jo. 17:17).
